How do I open .eps? – Pixelmator Community..ai or .eps files?? – Pixelmator Community
Pixelmator and Pixelmator pro support vectors but that’s only inside the app. Pixelmator (Pro) cannot import and export vector file formats. User avatar. Brice. You can open AI and EPS images in the Preview app, then choose File > Export and export to a format that Pixelmator Pro does support. User avatar. Brice. on.
Now, I want to replace Illustrator. Thu Jul 18, am by Andrius Mon Jun 25, am There aren’t really any news I can share about this — a few other very awesome things are taking priority at the moment, so I wouldn’t expect a standalone Vectormator particularly soon if I’m being honest. Thu Jul 18, pm by fakeforfee Thu Jul 18, am Do you have any news? Mon Aug 19, am I feel slightly reluctant speaking about another vendor’s product on the Pixelmator site. But, I too wanted to replace Illustrator after having ditched Photoshop for Pixelmator.
But, the desire to help the community, plus it seems the Pixelmator team isn’t prioritizing a vector application just yet, so I feel like it’s worth providing an alternative. I have found the app Graphic to be a very strong alternative to Illustrator. It opens. Sun Nov 10, am Graphic and VectorNator make my retinas bleed. Their UX I tell ya, I appreciate when a company makes an app beautiful.
It is raaaaaare. Anyway, just wondering about the kind of workflows you have. Wed Jan 29, pm by Andrius Tue Jul 02, am Thanks for the requests, everybody — out of interest, would you be looking more for import or export support? Thu Jan 30, am Understood, thanks for the clarification! Tue Feb 18, pm by Andrius Thu Jan 30, am Understood, thanks for the clarification! I work a lot with different logos and receive them as EPS files. Being able to import them as vector not rasterbased would be a huge benefit.
Tue Feb 25, pm Hey Conny, this would be a big project and, seeing as we already support SVG files, we currently feel we’re better off focusing on other improvements, especially as Pixelmator Pro is still primarily a raster-based editor. Of course, that not to say that we wouldn’t like to add this in theory, but I wouldn’t expect to see it in the near future.

Mon Mar 02, pm by Wayne Morgan I think you are missing a major need from the community.
I do raster based editing and exports, but the images that we receive from clients or my own company are all. It seem strange that we should have to do a workaround just to get basic images imported to raster.
